Israeli PM urges nation to heed instructions as ‘they are not against you’

Israeli Prim

e Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that decisions regarding the nationwide lockdown under the shadow of the coronavirus pandemic will be made on Thursday.

“There are those who are saying the lockdown began to work, that there’s a flattening of the curve,” Netanyahu said in a video published on his Facebook page.

“I want to wait at least ten days [to see if that is true]. Which means that the decisions on continuing the lockdown… we will make only on Thursday.”

The Israeli premier further commented on clashes intensifying between citizens and Israel Police, asserting that “lockdown instructions are not against you, they are against the virus, and if we all act together, we will defeat this virus.”
