COVID-19 czar says country may be ‘passed the pandemic peak’

Israel detected 7,024 coronavirus cases on Friday, new data released Saturday evening by the Health Ministry showed.
With 62,062 screening tests conducted throughout the country, the test positive ratio stood at 11.8 percent — slightly lower than the 15 percent results during weekdays.
In addition, 19 deaths were added since midnight, raising the state’s death toll to 1,679.
There are currently 71,908 active cases in the country, among those 839 individuals in serious condition — including 224 on artificial respirators — and 317 COVID-19 patients in moderate condition.
